Choosing

Sometimes people don’t choose you

Or they do but they get taken too soon

And that’s scary and probably the reason I’m so wary of loving someone else

But if you never love, you never live

If you’re always too afraid of getting hurt

You’ll miss out on some of life’s greatest joys

And that would be much more of a travesty than to love and get hurt

You regret more of what you didn’t do than what you did

So live a life full of love and adventure

And be someone you love

Because at the end of the day

That’s all that matters
