This quote is especially true for everyone that is struggling to come out of their shell. You can't act like everybody else because then you won't be yourself. You have to embrace your weirdness and let it be, you can't please everyone. If you do please everyone, then you'll be giving up a part of yourself that you might not be able to get back. You can't choose what other people do and you can't be someone that everyone will like. Even if you are someone that everyone likes, someone will dislike you for having everyone like you, so it kind of creates it's own contradiction.

If you are always trying to make sure that what you say is "politically correct" and that you are always on everyone's good side, then you will never truly be yourself. You have to speak your mind and what you believe because no one else can do it for you. They can try, but it won't be as good because it's not from the person that believes what you believe - you! Only you have your passions and if you don't speak up about something that you feel strongly about, it might not go anywhere. People that really care about you won't care if you do something wrong. They'll find a way to help you fix it and be there for you when you need it. Those who care about what you look like don't matter because they're going to judge you anyways. And if you stick to your beliefs and speak your mind, then the right people will find you. People that will respect your opinion but also challenge you.
