Hey guys,
Michael Vey is one of my favorite fictional books that I’ve loved since 3rd grade. The first book is the main one I’m going to be talking about today “The prisoner of Cell 25.” Michael Vey starts off with, I’m guessing you guessed it, Michael Vey who is a normal teen with Tourette’s syndrome - a nervous system disorder l which is most famously known for making people swear outrageously (as it’s been shown in most platforms - tv shows, movies). Michael also has electrical powers that he’s had since he was born. Michael goes to a normal high school in Idaho where he has his best friend, Ostin and a huge crush on a cheerleader named Taylor. He also gets bullied by Jack and his friends, Wade and Mitchel.
That’s all the background information I’ll give, but if you haven’t you should definitely read the book
Overall, I think that it’s a great story about accepting differences and being okay in your own skin and it has such a good ending (the series and this book) that it’s definitely worth a read. It also has one of my favorite lines that I quote a lot “close only counts in horseshoes and nuclear warfare” and also has two of my favorite characters in Ostin and Michael. There’s a lot more I could say about this book but I don’t want to give too much away - might do a spoiler edition later.
