The 3 Fs: Failure, Forgiveness, and Fortitude

3 Quotes that have impacted me this week:

  1. “Remember why you started, remember where you’re headed, think about how great it will be once you get there, and keep going.” - Ralph Marston

  2. “I can accept failure. Everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” - Michael Jordan

  3. Forgive yourself for what you think you’ve done or not done. At every moment, you had your reasons for all your actions and decisions. You’ve done the best that you could do. Forgive yourself.” - Doreen Virtue

This week, I want you to focus on the 3Fs: Failure, Forgiveness and Fortitude. These 3 Fs will build you a stronger foundation. You have to fail in order to learn what works and what doesn’t. You have to forgive yourself for when something doesn’t work and you have to have the mental and physical fortitude to get back up and try again. And when you get up and try again, you’ll know a little better and be a little wiser and you have to keep trying.

2 Quotes for the Question from this week:

  1. “Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.” - Martin Luther King Jr.

  2. “The first step is the most important. It is the most crucial and the most effective as it will initiate the direction you have chosen.” - Steve Backley

Question for this week: Who do you need to forgive this week and what step are you going to take today to start forgiving that person?

This question stems from my own personal journey this week. I didn’t realize how much resentment and hurting I was holding onto until I took a walk with myself and let it all go. It’s uncomfortable and you don’t realize all of it until you spend time with yourself, until you hold yourself accountable. I needed to forgive myself for failing, for not giving my all into all that I do. All I can do now is rectify that mistake and not dwell on the past.
