I sometimes forget that relationships are so much work. I know that they’re worth it when you find someone that you connect with so deeply that you can talk to them for hours or if you just find someone that’s willing to talk to you, despite your quirks, despite your flaws, they look at you and say, “I like this person and want to spend more time with them.” Because isn’t that how relationships start to be born? If love is a choice then you choose to love someone after countless hours with them. You love them on the good and bad days, but it doesn’t start like that. You start with the good and see how they think about the bad. You start with the parts that were made to be loved and move to the parts that weren’t, but that you’re willing to love anyway because you chose this person to love. Love doesn’t choose you, you choose to love.
